WHO WE ARE


Food Lab is a research laboratory within the Department of Economics of Parma University, and has the aim of developing and  promoting scientific research in Food History.

This aim is pursued through research projects, seminars, publications and collaboration in Italy and overseas with other laboratories, academic and private research centres and institutions, academic institutions, private enterprises and individuals.

The main field of  study is the relationship between “typicality” and “territory”, but every aspect of Food History is included in the remit.
